William Reese served in the Army ROTC at Tuskegee University for all four years. He was selected by the ROTC cadre to be the Commander of the leadership Academy which was consisted of most accomplished cadets at the university. William Reese entered the service in January 1971 at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. His fist command assignment was second lieutenant with only 8 months of active duty. He served in Korea near the Demilitarized Zone. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1994.
